Because
each job site is unique and has specific requirements, we custom build
Port-Safe to meet those exact site requirements.
All
Porta-SafeŽ Load Centers are constructed according to the following
standards that differentiate our design from all others. These innovations
have evolved over many years as a result of input from electrical
engineers and our engineering staff.

All Porta-SafeŽ units shall have an integral custom enclosure including
transformer, breaker panel, etc., designed to the specified NEMA standard.
An external panel or boxes bolted to transformer will be unacceptable.
All steel surfaces shall be chemically cleaned, primed and painted
with (2) two coats of ASA-51 epoxy paint.

All secondary receptacles shall be GFI protected up to 40 amps per
NEC Code. Units can be supplied with power on safety lights over each
receptacle. Any transformer shall be protected with a primary and
secondary circuit breaker.

All Porta-SafeŽ units shall be made of 10 gauge steel, with continuous
welds on external and structural parts, reinforced with angle iron
and strong back gussets on corners. Stitch welds 1" in length
every 6" will be used on non-structural parts. Units shall be
provided with adequate lifting means. On the four wheel cart, the
caged design shall have a square tubular frame with an internal threaded
rod running the length of the risers, also included are lifting eyes
that are threaded and welded. All receptacles, breakers, lights and
switches shall be recessed from cage to prevent damage. An SO cord
storage compartment shall be provided on top. All casters and wheels
shall be rated at 1,200 lb. each. Two wheeled carts shall be designed
to be lifted and yet portable with a handtruck style handle and SO
cord hangers.

Porta-SafeŽ units shall be designed to meet or exceed all NEC, NEMA,
and OSHA regulations and codes. All units shall be run tested at full
load prior to shipping and manufactured with all UL listed components.
