Speed Bolt Heating System

Powers four ( 4 ) 480 volt 3Ø resistance Speed Bolt Heaters at once
Thermally elongates studs and bolts as fast as Induction Heating with 480 volt power
By using four Speed Heaters at once, job proceeds four times faster than Induction
No requirement for cooling water, special coils or use of two units on the steam turbine
System cost can be amortized in one outage and eliminates charged waiting time

The Porta-Safe® Speed Bolt Heating System utilizes special patented 480 volt 3Ø resistance bolt heaters powered by a compact 480 volt load center. All receptacles have a dedicated timer that controls the on/ off function. A master pendant control allows the mechanic to set and operate all the timers remotely.

Since most operators are familiar with resistance bolt heating, the new Porta-Safe® Speed Heating System requires a minimal amount of training. Power required is a standard 80 amp 480 volt 3Ø service, common in most plants.
