Stationary power distribution units

The same step-down — 600 / 480 VAC in, GFCI-protected 240 / 208 / 120 VAC out — on a skid built to be set down once and fed from for the duration. Fork slots and lifting eyes for placing it; a receptacle count sized to the whole laydown area rather than one crew.

Formats

Skid-mounted
Transformer and distribution on a welded steel skid with fork slots and lift eyes. Typically 15 to 150 kVA, skids more often at the larger end, and larger built on request. Craned or forked into position, then left.
Stackable
Frames designed to stack for storage and transport between outages — a shipyard requirement that suits plant fleets too.
Fixed / trough
Distribution runs for a fixed temporary installation, feeding receptacle stations along a work area.

Feeding carts from a skid

A common arrangement: one stationary unit takes the plant feed at the edge of the work area, and wheeled carts run off its primary-voltage receptacles to wherever the crews are. Specify both together and the receptacles are matched.
